In a Kingdom by the Sea
This LP is a collection of songs that has been a longtime in the making. It follows my journey from the heartbreak I experienced at 17 through my twenties where I found myself constantly on the move, living with new strangers and new norms every year in the Bay. Isolation, loneliness, the peaks and valleys of my faith journey, and the struggle for inner peace amidst modernity’s chaos are themes across this record. Once, while I was living on the brink of homelessness without family nearby, I said a prayer asking God to give me a sign that He was watching over me. I went for a walk and minutes later, a woman and her dog ran up to me. She told me I was loved by God, that I was not an orphan, and that I always had a home with Jesus.
Songwriting, vocals, ukulele, guitar, & production: Margaret Potts
Drums on 17 & Outcast: Jeremy Black
Bass on 17, Good Riddance & Outcast: Ben Bernstein
